Tamim Darwish Australian & New Zealand Society of Magnetic Resonance Conference 2017

Tamim Darwish

Dr Darwish obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry from The University of New South Wales (2016), and subsequently he undertook postdoctoral appointments at the University of Sydney and ANSTO. Currently, he is a senior research scientist and leader of the chemical deuteration team at the National Deuteration Facility at ANSTO. His facility is one of the very few open access facilities offering deuterium labelling of molecules for Australian and international researchers, and is the only such facility in the world to offer both chemical and bio-deuteration methods. He is interested in developing new hydrothermal and microwave synthetic methods for the synthesis of labelled organic molecules for investigations in structural biology, nanotechnology and drug design. He has co-authored >45 peer-reviewed publications and many conference papers.
